Co-creation with Older Adults and Children: Building the GaGEN Game Together

From September to November 2023, all GaGEN partners hosted national co-creation sessions with older adults and children (under 12), bringing generations together to share ideas about the environment and sustainability. Guided by a common structure and resources developed by the project team, these sessions allowed participants to test concepts, exchange perspectives, and give valuable input for the design of the GaGEN digital game.

This collaborative process was a key milestone for the project. It ensured that the game reflects the needs, interests, and experiences of its future players while sparking curiosity and engagement among children and older adults. The insights gathered during these sessions now shape the game’s methodological framework and support the development of next steps in the project.
